STUNNING! My question is this--the children made the choice--why? Is it all self-esteem? Is it projection of more complex sort? Would this also be true for other "race" dolls? Did she do the test with while children given the same choices? The measure of a good research question is often whether or not it raises even more questions. Now how do we figure out why exactly this is although we might have our suspicions/hypotheses the next step is for psychologists to tease out the reasons. Very interesting and very distrubing.
